Silent Sleeve
Silent Sleeve is an expandable braided polyester sleeving designed to provide abrasion protection and wire management of harnesses and cable assemblies in applications where sound dampening is an important design consideration.
Rated for continuous use at 125°C/257°F, Silent Sleeve utilizes a dref yarn construction whereby polyester monofilaments are wrapped with polyester staple filaments. The wrap provides a softened surface and acoustic barrier, dampening any surface noises.
The braid pattern selected allows the sleeving to maintain a round shape, which facilitates assembly; while the yarn construction minimizes end fray, eliminating the need for hot-knife cutting.
